Definition:

Orthopedic Physical Therapy (PT), a profession most commonly used in our daily lives, is a discipline that deals with disorders and injuries of the musculoskeletal system, such as neck and shoulder pains from poor postures or overuse of muscle and tendons, to treat or alleviate discomfort through therapeutic exercises, employment of physical factors, change of lifestyle (together with ergonomics or posture correction) to prevent relapses. 

Conditions in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

Orthopedic PT concentrated on treating conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, which is made up of your joints, muscles, bones, ligaments, and tendons. Orthopedic injuries and conditions may include:

Other musculoskeletal concerns, including recovery and prevention of sports injuries (sprains and strains, tennis elbow), trauma (bone fractures and ligament ruptures from traffic accidents), ailments and degenerative diseases (protrusion of intervertebral disc, spurs) all fall into the scope of Physical Therapy
