Asia University physical therapy students visit Taichung City Love Home, which is organized by the Maria Social Welfare Foundation. During students’ visit, they observed several services, including rehabilitation center of PT and OT, development resource center, assistive device center. Then, they realized that PT plays an important role in social welfare foundation in addition to hospital or clinic. Through interaction with PT teacher Zhu, a main supervisor of early intervention service in Love Home, it is key for students to learn well PT basic assessment in order to plan effective intervention for people with special needs. Students reflect that they know how to connect the lecture knowledge with clinical implication after visiting the Taichung City Love Home. They strongly are motivated to study hard for being a outstanding PT in the coming future.
